A career counselor wrote the following to me:

I think people understand that it's a difficult time for you and if they are true friends, they will lend you money for whatever activity and you can pay them back later (when you have a job again) or they will understand that you can't do some of the stuff they want to do but it's just temporary, it's not like you'll never have a job or money again.

I rather not anyone lend me money unless I am desperate, but it is how I feel about friendships.

Job Lay-offs

While watching the news today, it said that they were laying off police officers. It is the same thing that happened to me. Baltimore City Schools got rid of all their newbies. I was only with the actual system for a year. The city is laying off those with the least amount of time on the force. I think they should just put a freeze on hiring instead of letting people go. I know they are going to need to hire more eventually. I know Baltimore City is going to need new teachers. It is just not right. There has to be something a company or agency can do even if they have to recycle employees instead of letting them go.

Confused

My disability is Auditory Processing Disorder. This means I have difficulties with interpreting sounds/words. A couple ways I adapt to this disorder is repeating what people say and asking questions. I want to make sure I understand what people are saying to me.

I feel like some of the people I know have the same disorder. People seem to read too much into what I am saying. When they talk to me, they say things that I know I didn't say. They get mad at me for things I didn't say. I am so confused.
